You Might Need A Break

Post a Comment

Nothing is planned. That's what my calendar shows today. For real? Yes. Because I actually deleted the schedules for today. You know when you start to feel overwhelmed with all your activities, you might need to step back, and see yourself form afar. Maybe you need a break.

If you noticed that for several days I stopped posting in this blog for a while. In fact, the only post I made during this period is a single twibonnized picture of my profile picture I posted on Instagram. The twibon is gorgeous, and I can't wait for the event to come (it will be the time one of my duty is over) so I can't keep my self to post it to my Instagram.

Yes, these couple of weeks is rather overwhelming. The first month of the second semester in my school. Suddenly there are classes and events and duties coming together, you would wish that they come in rows making queue like when people buy a movie ticket, which we don't see these days because of the pandemic. No, they don't. Instead they are coming like 911 calls. They screams out emergency.

What you would do to stay sane is to keep yourself away from the phone while you are working on your task. And check it again after you finish it, putting the incoming task to the bullet journal, choose the next most urgent task and put away again your bullet journal and your phone until the next task is done.

Since blogging is not my emergency, so here you go.. two weeks without a single post.

And this is getting worse until you skip meals and house chores because you don't think of it as urgent. Then I said, hold on! You can't work this way!

I  valendgot this duty to guide the students in our school's literacy club this year and this month the students came up with an idea of making a club's blog. Because I got this blog training from Blogspedia, I offered them to help setting up the blog. I wrote the first post on the blog to show them how to blog.

Then I suddenly feel joy...It seems like there was something missing and it is already coming back. I realized I can't always pressure my self. I need a break. And this blog time is my break time.

I opened again my blog calendar, tidying up my content plans for February. And I saw this beautiful picture in the background of February in the Google Calendar.

I imagine my self on a boat trip, enjoying the sunset and the calm wind blows. The refreshing smell of the sea. The quiet sound of nature. Laying my back on the deck. Feeling the warmth that is pouring down from the sky. Forgeting that I still have many works even if tomorrow is Saturday.

It's a very kind of Google showing us beautiful pictures of in the beginning of each month. For free.

So yes, I deleted all my blogging activities today. But I ended up posting another post. Thank you for reading this anyway. If you are feeling overwhelmed, please consider to take a break. Even by only looking at beautiful pictures.
